Chalk Walk

Chalk Walk
Saturday, June 21 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Oberlin’s most colorful event is on Saturday, June 21, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. (rain date is Sunday, June 22). This event is free and open to the public. Volunteers will be on hand at registration tables throughout Downtown Oberlin to provide free chalk and materials including by the Oberlin Heritage Center’s Kiosk. There is no advance registration for this event. This is a family-friendly event, so visitors of all ages are encouraged to add their own artwork to the sidewalk gallery.

Even if you can’t engage your inner artist, come downtown to view creativity in action. Take a leisurely stroll (be sure to take photos!), enjoy a meal or a snack at one of Oberlin’s local restaurants, visit the town’s unique retail shops, and be amazed by what people can create from a few sticks of chalk and a sidewalk square.
