Oberlin Origins Tour Training
Wednesday, June 11 from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m
Come see two of OHC’s historic buildings on this two-hour training. The Oberlin Origins tour delves into the histories of both the 1866 Monroe House and the 1836 Little Red Schoolhouse, and explores stories of Oberlin’s founding, its early commitment to universal education, and involvement in abolitionist activities, including the Underground Railroad. This tour provides a foundational history that is integral to understanding Oberlin, town and college, today. All training attendees will receive a tour guide manual and a complimentary pass to shadow this tour during a public offering.
This tour is offered on Thursdays and Saturdays at 10:30am & 1:30pm and by group appointment.
If you are interested, please RSVP to Amanda Manahan at tourinfo@oberlinheritage.org by Saturday, June 7.
