Research Assistance

Research Requests

The Oberlin Heritage Center Resource Center is available for personal, professional, or academic research by appointment only. Holdings include a wide variety of books, photographs, objects, archival materials, oral histories, genealogy information, maps and files on local and national history. Information on the museum collection can be found on the Collections Page.

Research assistance is also available via phone or email. Research inquiries that are easily or quickly addressed are answered at no charge (although donations are always appreciated!). More extensive research may incur a $20 per hour research fee. Contact our office for more details. Please note that OHC does not conduct searches outside of the Resource Cetner (e.g. the Court House or Oberlin College Archives), unless special arrangements are made.

To schedule an appointment or ask a research question, please contact the Collections Manager or call 440-774-1700.

Reproduction Requests

Those wishing to reproduce OHC photographs or other media can fill out and return a Reproduction Request Form. Information on permitted uses, terms and conditions of use, and use fees can be found on the form. Contact our office for more details.
